Karen L. Hackman, J.D., Partner

Karen L Hackman, J.D., a Partner in our law firm, returned to her hometown of Selinsgrove in 1983 and since then has represented many of the region's existing businesses and lending institiutions, and counseled start-up businesses as well. She has been involved with numerous major economic development projects in our region involving the coordination of public and private financing. In these projects, she has been responsible for negotiation, structuring, documentation and coordinating the efforts of industrial development agencies, developers, lenders, and associated professionals.

In 2002, she was designated Closing Counsel Status by the United States Small Business Administration and with that designation, represents the SEDA-Cog Local Development Corporation throughout Pennsylvania. She is a frequent speaker at the Small Business Development Center at Bucknell University and served as adjunct faculty at the Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University from 1984 through 2001. In 2000, she was recognized by Governor Tom Ridge as one of Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business.
